And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory of the only son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

No man has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has revealed Him.

John bore record saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and remain on Him. I knew Him not except the one who sent me to baptize told me, On whomever you see the Spirit descending and remaining, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. I saw Him, and now witness that this is the Son of God.

Since the feast of Passover was at hand, Jesus went to Jerusalem. There He found, sitting in the temple, all those who sold oxen and sheep and doves and changers of money. Make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.

Unless one is born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The wind blows and you hear the sound but cannot tell from where it comes or to where it goes. So it is with those born of the Spirit.

And this is the condemnation: light came into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.
